TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — A man has died following a shooting that occurred Thursday afternoon in the capital city, prompting an active investigation by the Tallahassee Police Department.
According to TPD, officers responded to the 1600 block of Stuckey Avenue around 4:00 p.m. after receiving reports of gunfire in the area. Upon arrival, they discovered a deceased adult male who had suffered multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities have not yet released the identity of the victim, and no arrests have been made as of Thursday evening. Investigators remained on scene for several hours, canvassing the area, speaking with witnesses, and collecting evidence as they work to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
